Canyon Club Hotel

Canyon Club is a decent place to stay if you're looking for a gay men's clothing optional resort. The rooms and bathrooms definitely need some upgrading but are comfortable enough for short stays. This is a very cruise friendly hotel with attached private garden where you are free to be nude and play outside. **A little warning! This place has homeless people and drug addicts that sneak inside the property after the staff leave at 10 pm. It definitely kills the mood when you see people in this situation. We even had to call the property owner directly and he came over to ask people to leave who were not paying guests but drug users looking for a place to use. It felt unsafe at times. ** But regards to the friendly staff who helped us. They were very accommodating and helped us move to a better room after we checked in! They would play whatever music we requested, had good recommendations for bars and served shaved ice to guests on Sunday and helped us out with everything else. They said improvements for the resort are planned but no dates set. Wednesday and Sundays the resort does day passes for guests to use the pool and facilities. Overall would return but the non paying guests were a very big disappointment.

This all-mens clothing optional resort is always reliable. Rooms are a decent value and almost always spotlessly clean. Day passes are a good deal ($15 at time of this writing, don't forget to bring your lock for your locker or it's $7 to rent one), nice grounds with a HUGE lawn/garden area with private-ish spots. Indoor play area too.

I stayed st Canyon Club on the recommendation of a friend, and glad I did. As soon as you enter the door,you feel very welcome . The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are clean and spacious. Great clothing optional pool and grounds with places to escape or be a little naughty. Location is very near downtown and bars with a restaurant right next for those munchy times. What s fun place. Can't wait to go back! Frank C

updated review from Aug 11 - 16 2025. Same basic 3 star hotel but rooms have been worked on and more remodeling going on while I was there. Brand new pool deck chairs and large Olympic size pool with clear water. 16-man jacuzzi working with all large spouts. More lawn chairs in the green garden backyard, even a few in the hedge maze. Change of 2 personnel on desk staff. new computer in the lobby. many locals on day passes over the weekend. And Johns Diner next door has 2 great soups that alternate every 7 days - a thick hearty chicken noodle and a thick bold seasoned chicken tortilla . I shall always return here.

Great place if this is your thing. The staff is very nice and the place is immaculate from what I have seen. Pricing is a little high at times when special events are going on in Palm Springs and around the Coachella Valley, but seemingly worth it.

Mens clothing optional resort. We got this for $118/night. There is a caveat getting this rate and that is it is available only the day before availability. If you want to stay there for more than one night you need to reserve it the night before, each and every night you stay. Normally the rooms are $250 plus the resort fee which comes out to about $300/night. So this was a great deal. If you go during off season during the weekdays this is easy enough eay to Do the Palm Springs thing the gay way, if you go during the weekends or during busy season You may find the place filled up and sold out so If you find yourself there, at this time of year just be prepared they have to bail out to a nearby hotel, if the room sells out for your future dates . Just make sure you keep in touch with and check with the desk daily they seem pretty friendly which was not the same story when I got there with some if the people. They were very defensive and very negative once I arrived at the resort not to me but I saw that treat some other people poorly not sure what that's about but if they're going to treat someone poorly they should probably at least not do it in public. I mean maybe they had an axe to grind with them I don't know.

The resort was such a nice place to get away from the heat, and just be free to be one's self. front desk person was nice and very respectful. The guest are very respectful and friendly. The pool side was fun and enjoyable. There is a beautiful maze garden area and koi pond area. There can be a little touch up here and there but hey overall it was a great experience. Bed room was nice as well. Bed was nice and comfortable. My partner & I stayed in a studio king which was a perfect size for the both of us. Nice size closet. AC was good & working through the night. Bathroom was nice. I'm super picky on a clean bathroom so when I said it was good and It was good. A little small but hey most of the time you'll be in pool or out & about. So I would definitely recommend this resort and would love to come back for sure. And definitely has a ice machine.

I've been staying here for years and always enjoy myself. Really love Canyon Club! Has one of the best pools and hot tubs, a beautiful garden with a pond (and a turtle) and a green hedge labyrinth with a nice lawn to layout. Very dog friendly. Cool playroom and hot sauna. The staff are very nice and helpful. Tends to be a friendly, fun, mellow, sexy vibe. Saturday and Sundays get much more lively! Has the best deal for a day pass in town. No stress here, come relax and have a fun time! It's not the Ritz, but that's not why we're here (they are remodeling) It's clean, safe, a great location and did I say Fun!
